The Guildford Heights Dental Centre team uses dental bonding to repair gaps, chips, and cracks in your teeth to give you a healthier, more even smile.
Contact UsHow does cosmetic bonding work?
Your cosmetic bonding appointment will take about one to two hours, depending mainly on the extent of the work being done. During the procedure, we will apply a natural looking material (composite resin) onto the tooth to cover up small cracks or gaps. The material is then hardened, smoothed and polished.
Cosmetic bonding requires minimal or no use of drilling or anesthetic, and you can have several teeth bonded during a single session. Dental bonding is also among the most inexpensive and convenient ways to achieve a great smile!
Bonding may be used to correct a variety of cosmetic or functional dental problems, including stubborn stains, gaps between the teeth, or chipped or uneven teeth.
Maintenance
For about a couple of weeks after your cosmetic bonding session, you will need to adjust to the new shape and size of your teeth, but it should not take long to get used to. Dental bonds don't require any special care; all you have to do is brush and floss daily, as usual.
